CNN founder Ted Turner has passed away

American businessman Ted Turner, who left his mark on global journalism by launching the 24-hour live broadcast format with CNN and establishing major platforms such as Turner Classic Movies (TCM), has passed away. While the news of Turner's death has caused sadness in the international media community, the most notable message came from Hollywood star and his former wife, Jane Fonda.

Expressing that her marriage to Turner had a profound impact on her, Fonda shared the following words:

"He entered my life; he was magnificently handsome, extremely romantic, a daring pirate, and I was never the same person after that day. He needed me. No one had ever told me they needed me before, and this wasn't just an ordinary person who needed me. He was the world's greatest sailor, had a brilliant mind, and a wonderful sense of humor."

Emphasizing that the years she shared with Turner were a turning point for her, Fonda expressed her feelings by saying, "Ted Turner helped me believe in myself." Stating that Turner's human side and his courage to openly show his vulnerabilities made him different, Fonda also said she learned more from her former husband than from anyone else in school or her surroundings.

There has been no official statement yet regarding the cause of death for Ted Turner, who had been struggling with health issues in recent years. However, he announced in 2018 that he had been diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. It was known that Turner had been battling this neurological condition for a long time. Turner, who also contributed to social responsibility projects, managed to leave a mark on the publishing world throughout his life alongside his five children.

Jane Fonda concluded her farewell with these words:
