It has emerged that Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu has reached an agreement with Ece Üner, who hosts a program on Sözcü TV, to anchor the channel's main news bulletin.

Following this development, news of a departure from Halk TV arrived.

Seda Selek, who served as the anchor for Halk TV's main news, announced in a post on her social media account that she was bidding farewell to the channel where she had worked for 3 years, and appeared for her final broadcast.

In her social media post, Seda Selek used the phrase, "Today is my final broadcast."

In a post she made after the broadcast, Selek stated, "I bid farewell to Halk TV today. My thanks go to all my teammates who were always by my side, showed their support and love, and always worked with a spirit of solidarity, as well as to Suat Toktaş and Cafer Mahiroğlu. It was a wonderful three years."


WHO IS SEDA SELEK?

Born in Istanbul in 1980, Seda Selek graduated from the Tourism and Hotel Management department at Marmara University. In 1999, she received six months of training in diction and broadcasting from TRT announcers, theater actors, and voice-over artists at the Kuşdili Education Center.

After graduating from the Tourism and Hotel Management department at Marmara University, she stepped into the media sector in 2000 by working as a presenter at Number One TV. Subsequently, Seda Selek hosted the program titled "Kadınlar Meclisi" (Women's Assembly) on 24 TV and also presented the program "Günün Manşeti" (Headline of the Day) on the same channel.

Having worked as a presenter and moderator at channels such as TGRT Haber, TV8, and Haber Global, Selek had most recently begun working at Halk TV.
