Nefes Media Group President Metin Yılmaz has announced his departure from the newspaper due to health issues. In his farewell letter, Yılmaz stated, "The foundations of this newspaper you hold in your hands were laid firmly. After I leave, NEFES Gazetesi will continue to exist with the same publishing philosophy."

A high-level departure has taken place at Nefes Gazetesi. Metin Yılmaz, who founded the Nefes Media Group with a large team last December after leaving Sözcü, has announced his resignation from his position.

In his 'Farewell' letter at Nefes, Yılmaz emphasized that he made this decision due to health issues he has been experiencing.

Metin Yılmaz noted the following:

"Dear readers, with my nearly 50 years of journalism experience and my team, I brought NEFES Gazetesi to the Turkish press on December 19 last year.

For 309 days, we were guests in your homes and workplaces every day with our newspaper.

Without deviating a millimeter from the contemporary values pointed out by Atatürk, we stood by the people and the righteous. We opened a new horizon with our striking headlines and columns. We made a great impact.

However, some health issues have arisen. Therefore, it is time for me to bid farewell to NEFES Gazetesi.

The foundations of this newspaper you hold in your hands were laid firmly. After I leave, NEFES Gazetesi will continue to exist with the same publishing philosophy.

In fact, with your support, it will grow even further and continue to be one of the indispensable bastions of the Turkish press.
