Long-standing newspaper changes hands
Haber Ekspres, one of İzmir's long-standing newspapers, has changed hands. Eyüphan Gündoğdu, who purchased the newspaper approximately 1 year ago, has transferred it to Selektifiz İletişim Danışmanlık Medya A.Ş.

In a statement released by Selektifiz İletişim Danışmanlık Medya A.Ş., it was stated: “Haber Ekspres Newspaper and the news portal www.haberekspres.com.tr, which have been continuing their publication life under the Karne Media Group since March 01, 2024, have joined the structure of Selektifiz İletişim Danışmanlık Medya A.Ş. as of April 08, 2025. From now on, Haber Ekspres Newspaper and www.haberekspres.com.tr will continue to practice 'journalism' with their experienced staff under the leadership of İdris Akyüz, in the light of Atatürk's principles and revolutions, with a longing for a contemporary and modern Turkey, and with an understanding of free and truthful reporting.”
As of today, Erdal Akaltun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Selektifiz İletişim Danışmanlık Medya A.Ş., has taken his place in the masthead of Haber Ekspres Newspaper as the Concessionaire.
While İdriz Akyüz has become the Editor-in-Chief of Haber Ekspres Newspaper, Serdar Ağır will serve as Visual Director, Ramazan Eker as Managing Editor, and Engin Sarı as News Editor.
