Meltem Cumbul's painful loss: 'May he rest in light'

Famous actress Meltem Cumbul announced the passing of her brother-in-law, Tekin Alkan, in a post on Instagram. The 55-year-old artist was most recently seen by audiences in the series "Güzel Aşklar Diyarı," which aired on Kanal D. Cumbul expressed her grief with these words: "I am experiencing the deep sorrow of losing my one and only brother-in-law. May he rest in light."

It was announced that the funeral ceremony for the late Tekin Alkan will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 15:00 at the Topkapı Kozlu Syriac Orthodox Cemetery. Condolence visits will be accepted on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, between 19:00 and 22:00 at the Kadıköy Moda Church hall.

According to the information shared by Cumbul, Tekin Alkan was the son of Mıksi Cemil and Mıksiye Meleke Alkan. He was also the son-in-law of Sedat and Güner Cumbul, the husband of Funda Cumbul Alkan, and the father of Cemil Can and Emirhan. He was the father-in-law of Aslı Deniz, the grandfather of Duru, the brother-in-law of Acar Cumbul, Yonca Gültekin, and Meltem Cumbul, the brother-in-law (bacanak) of Bahadır Gültekin, and the brother of Cengiz, Marin Paslanmaz, Sevim Kareh, Şakir, Metin Can, Jale Tütüncü, and Turgay. He was the brother-in-law of Riyad Tütüncü.

The family requested that no flowers be sent and that donations be made instead.
