Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made statements regarding social media regulations for youth. Minister Uraloğlu announced that the social media regulation for youth under 16 will be completed within this year.

Stating that they are conducting the process jointly with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant institutions, Uraloğlu said, "Age limits between 13 and 16 are being discussed globally, but our priority is 16. We are carrying out various studies with the aim of protecting children in this age range."

Uraloğlu further added, "We want our 16-year-old children to focus more on their education and development. When they reach an age where they can manage themselves, we will leave their social media access to their own initiative. Let us allow our youth aged 16 and over to access social media; we will complete our regulation this year."
