Cem Yılmaz had recently shared with his followers on his social media account the process he went through after a 43,000 TL Baccarat Collection lamp he ordered from Beymen was delivered broken. Yılmaz had criticized the brand, stating that the product arrived damaged, that he had requested a refund, but that he had not received any solution for a long time.
After the incident grew and drew significant attention on social media, Cem Yılmaz deleted his post regarding the broken lamp and issued a new statement. Expressing his sadness over the length of the process, Yılmaz stated the following in his new post:
“The lamp business yesterday did indeed drag on a bit… A lot of people were upset too.. I am closing this matter with maturity before it reaches a point where it hurts a working person… Because I am sure as I am of my own name that the finale in these matters doesn't suit you, my friend. Let the broken lamp be our only problem. I removed the post for the sake of the officials who called me with sincerity. Two issues are important; in this country, we complain about the “do you know who I am” attitude, but in the end, it comes down to “oh, we didn't know, were you the Cem Yılmaz we know”… So what, should we say “I am Cem Yılmaz, brother, watch out” when buying a lamp…. Thank God, I haven't gone that crazy for 30 years.. Once again, I apologize to everyone who was upset. I removed the post especially for the sake of Mr. Ahmet from Baccarat Collection… As for you, Beymen brother, welcome and greetings. You'll see me on Netflix or somewhere now.. Bye.”
