Striking headline from BirGün

BirGün newspaper prepared a striking headline for its February 2, 2024 issue.

Above the headline, it stated, "Debt is up to the neck, inflation is not stopping, production has halted," while the headline itself, which drew attention to annual inflation in Istanbul, included the words, "There is no good news to write."

The newspaper's headline also included the statements, "While annual inflation in Istanbul has exceeded 76 percent, there have also been price hikes for bread and gasoline. Credit card debt has surpassed 1.2 trillion liras."
