The new destination for TELE1's on-air personalities has been revealed
Former employees of TELE1, which had a trustee appointed three weeks ago, have announced that they will begin broadcasting under the name TELE2 HABER via their website, YouTube channel, and social media accounts.

As part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, TELE1 Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ was detained, and a trustee was appointed to the television channel on October 24, 2025. The trustee management halted the news and programs that reflected the channel's independent broadcasting approach, switched to airing documentaries, and blocked new news entries on its website.
ON-AIR PERSONALITIES RESIGNED
Some of TELE1's executives, writers, and behind-the-scenes staff resigned on October 31, 2025. The resignation statement declared, "We will not surrender; we will continue to stand tall on the side of the truth." The team decided to establish a new platform to maintain their approach to independent journalism committed to press principles.
BROADCASTING TO BEGIN WITH TELE2 HABER
The new platform formed by TELE1's on-air personalities will begin broadcasting under the name TELE2 HABER. The statement included the following: "On Friday, November 14, at 19:28, we will begin broadcasting as TELE2 HABER, saying 'hello again' through our website, our YouTube channel, and all our social media accounts, including X and Instagram."
