Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan, known for his proximity to the government, cited AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Israel-Palestine policy and Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya’s operations as examples in his column titled “Two issues on which Turkey has reached a consensus”.

Hakan stated that a general consensus has formed on two issues that even "the most opposition figures" have joined in recent days.

In his column, Hakan noted the following:

"In recent days, a general consensus has formed in Turkey on these two issues:

First issue: Even the most opposition figures have supported the policy pursued by President Erdoğan regarding the Israel/Palestine situation. There is almost no one objecting to the policy Erdoğan is pursuing. Despite so much polarization, it is significant that such a consensus has been achieved in Turkey.

Second issue: Even the most opposition figures support the efforts and endeavors of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. Everyone supports Yerlikaya's determined crackdown on criminal organizations in particular. Despite so much polarization, it is significant that a consensus has been reached on this issue as well."
