AKP's Akbaşoğlu comments on minimum wage: 'We have never let them be crushed'

AKP Group Deputy Chairman Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu said at a press conference in Parliament regarding the minimum wage, "To date, we have never let our employees, civil servants, and retirees be crushed by inflation, and we never will. Our approach to raising the living standards and further increasing the purchasing power of all our employees, segments of society, retirees, farmers, and tradespeople will continue in a sustainable manner. In December, we will all see a result where the purchasing power of all our worker brothers and sisters will be increased without being crushed by inflation. By taking into account the inflation rates that will emerge at the beginning of January 2024, we will share with the public a regulation that will increase the living standards and purchasing power of all our civil servants and retirees, a raise that will make them smile."

'ATTEMPTS TO REVIVE THE SIX-PARTY TABLE...'

Regarding the meeting between IYI Party Chair Meral Akşener and CHP Chair Özgür Özel, Akbaşoğlu noted the following:

"Yesterday, we witnessed attempts to revive the Six-Party Table once again. In this context, looking at the past brings with it the ability to provide the public with accurate and precise ideas regarding the understanding of future processes. There is truly a masked theater being played. Now, sleeves have been rolled up to stage a new version of this. Even if the chairmen change in the CHP, the mentality does not. We have witnessed and continue to witness different approaches, different political attractions, and approaches aimed at deceiving the nation with illusion politics using different words that do not change the essence, all in an effort to deceive and mislead the nation."
