'Do you want to take over a country?'

Justice Party Chairman Dr. Necdet Öz made a post on social media detailing the methods for taking over a country. The similarity between the country described in Öz's scenario and Turkey drew attention.

In his post, which has been viewed thousands of times, Öz wrote the following:

?Turn the national currency into pocket change..

?Spread rent-seeking, bribery, and corruption..

?Destroy the nuclear family structure..

?Liberalize the customs union and imports..

?Blame all your sins on someone else every time..

?Say 'I was deceived,' play the victim, cry, and constantly rebel..

?Seize the media, threaten its members..

?Judge and convict those who oppose you..

?Place the system under tutelage and bypass parliament..

?Declare the opposition as traitors..

?Remember, your only enemies are democracy, justice, and the secular Republic..

?When at the peak of your power, establish a party-state and declare your one-man rule..

?Write your own Constitution, make elections and democracy a mere formality..

?Now the country is yours, govern it as you wish..

?In front of the public, shout and roar at those who gave you this opportunity, insult them for the sake of appearances, but behind closed doors, listen to their words and pledge allegiance..
