Fatih Altaylı's commentary on Başak Demirtaş and YRP: 'This is also part of the bargaining'

Journalist Fatih Altaylı evaluated the remarks of Başak Demirtaş, wife of former HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who said, "If our party deems it appropriate, I would like to be a candidate for Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality."

In his column, where he stated, "I suppose this candidacy will also bring about a change in Selahattin Demirtaş's situation. This is likely part of the bargaining," Altaylı also added the following:

"Especially if the New Welfare Party (YRP) reaches an agreement with the AKP. Ekrem İmamoğlu's job will become much more difficult."
