Reactions continue to pour in following the cancellation of the Turkish Super Cup final, which was planned to be played in Saudi Arabia, due to the Saudis' attempts to block Atatürk. Justice Party Chairman Dr. Vecdet Öz emphasized that the entire responsibility lies with the AKP.

Saudi Arabia opposed the request of Turkish teams to take the field in the Super Cup final with Atatürk's motto 'Peace at Home, Peace in the World' and t-shirts featuring Atatürk's image. Following ongoing negotiations, the match was cancelled and the teams returned to Turkey. Reactions to the incident continue to come from all segments of society.

Justice Party Chairman Dr. Vecdet Öz also expressed his reaction on his social media account. Emphasizing that the AKP is responsible for what happened, Öz wrote:

Playing the Super Cup on the soil of the anti-Turkish Wahhabi Saudis is a sinister plot! It is an assassination of reputation against Atatürk, the Secular Republic, our National Anthem, our flag, and our national identity! The main culprit, as always, is the AKP, which shouldered the coffin of the fez-wearing traitor. Because the AKP is the greatest disaster that could ever befall a country. The day they leave, all nightmares will end. PERIOD.."
