NUMBER OF DETAINEES AND CONVICTS IN PRISONS EXCEEDS 427 THOUSAND
According to the shared data, the number of detainees and convicts in penal institutions across Turkey has reached 427,525.

THERE ARE 497 THOUSAND 788 INDIVIDUALS UNDER PROBATION
According to the "Probation Statistics" dated June 30, 2026, from the Ministry of Justice General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses, the total number of individuals under supervision and monitoring was announced as 497,788.
The sum of the 427,525 people in prisons and the 497,788 individuals under probation reached 925,313.
In the shared assessment, it was stated that when this number is proportioned to Turkey's population, approximately one in every 93 people is within the scope of the penal execution system or probation practices.
PROBATION AND JUDICIAL CONTROL DATA
