In Istanbul yesterday (January 8) at around 19:15, an individual named Ömer S. entered the Fatih Mosque and began shouting slogans, before launching a knife attack on Fatih Mosque Imam Galip Usta and Bilal Erdem, who had come to warn him.

ATTACKER CAPTURED

While Imam Galip Usta and Bilal Erdem, who were seriously injured in the attack, were taken to the hospital, the attacker was also captured and taken into custody.

Think about it, God forbid, if this attacker had been a Syrian and the imam had not survived the attack, what could have happened, how far could the situation have escalated?

Or what could have happened if the person who carried out this attack had done so with different slogans?
