Tantan referred to the White House meeting between Erdoğan and Trump on September 25 and pointed to allegations that Trump will have demands regarding our mines.
Sadettin Tantan used the following expressions:
"The allegations that US President Trump's demands regarding our rare earth element mines will be brought to the agenda in the meeting to be held on September 25 are concerning.
Treating Turkey like a US mandate is absolutely unacceptable.
The sole owner of Turkish lands is the Turkish nation. The dark forces that prevented us from using thorium yesterday are pursuing new schemes today.
While we wait for the forces behind the suspicious death of Prof. Dr. Engin Arık to be uncovered, the US setting its sights on our rare earth element reserves can never be allowed. Turkey is not a thoroughfare.
The Turkish nation will never give up on its own lands, its right to sovereignty, or the future of Anatolia, and will remind both friend and foe that it is the owner of this region. This homeland is ours, we will protect it!"
