According to information received from party sources, the MYK meeting is expected to address the details of the 24-hour press statement to be held on Thursday regarding education policies, preparations for the visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on Friday, the visit planned to Damascus later this month, preparations for the party statute congress in September, the event calendar, pensions and civil servant salaries, the minimum wage, and developments in foreign policy.

It was learned that discussions regarding the remarks made by Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan toward former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu may also come up during the MYK meeting.

An explicit video, alleged to belong to CHP MP Mustafa Sarıgül, had been circulated on social media. In his statement, Sarıgül stated that he was the victim of a political conspiracy and had been subjected to a “vile attack.” Furthermore, a statement from Sarıgül’s lawyers claimed that a criminal investigation of the video in question determined that it did not belong to Sarıgül.
