150 IYI Party members join CHP with a ceremony in Muratpaşa

In Antalya, approximately 150 IYI Party members, including former district chairs, joined the CHP with a ceremony and announced that they would support Muratpaşa Mayor and CHP candidate Ümit Uysal. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Uysal said, "We have come together to collectively resist these negative developments that our country is being dragged into, within the framework of democracy and through democratic methods."

In his speech here, Uysal stated that the first spark of the Antalya Alliance was ignited in Muratpaşa. Stating that the common denominator of this alliance is to dream of a Turkey together, Uysal said:

"Social unity, thinking together, dreaming together, sharing goodness and evil, looking to the future with hope, development, production, democratic life, and the sense of solidarity are in a state of being liquidated. We say 'No' to the common sensitivities that are eroded every day, to the constant undermining of these sensitivities, to people being divided through authoritarian approaches, to our nation being made unable to speak with one another, to our nation being made to even separate their televisions, and to being made unable to listen to each other."

Expressing that the process is no different in a sense from the victory of the National Struggle by uniting under the roof of the CHP in the footsteps of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Mayor Uysal said, "Today, we will once again realize our country's hope, its confidence in the future, the unity and solidarity of our nation, an independent and fair judicial system, development, the dream of being one of the civilized countries in the world, and the feeling of being in solidarity with one another."

"ALL TOGETHER"

Stating that this struggle will reach success, Uysal said, "This unity is the unity of this." Expressing that they have no tolerance for Turkey moving away from its common goals and common hopes, Mayor Uysal said, "We have come together to collectively resist these negative developments that our country is being dragged into, within the framework of democracy and through democratic methods."

"WELCOME HOME"

CHP Antalya Provincial Chair Nail Kamacı addressed the IYI Party members who joined his party, saying, "Welcome home. Everyone who enters this home is an equal member of the CHP. No one is excluded." Muratpaşa District Acting Chair Okan Can Kıran also said, "As people who essentially defend justice, democracy, and the republic, we have actually already established the Turkey Alliance at its foundation."

"WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THE UNITY OF VOTES AND THE UNITY OF POWER"

IYI Party Muratpaşa District Chair Erdal Özçivi stated that they would support Uysal in the elections along with the resigning board members. Özçivi said, "Our Muratpaşa people are taking part in this alliance. We are together with our fellow travelers and friends. We have secured our alliance in Muratpaşa. As our Mayor Mr. Uysal said, we have established the 'unity of votes' and the 'unity of power,' and we have joined hands. Now, we will take further steps together for new goals. May it be auspicious for us all."

Following the speeches, Provincial Chair Kamacı and Mayor Uysal pinned badges on the IYI Party members who joined the CHP. On the other hand, Gelecek Party Antalya Provincial Chair Muhammed Acar had also attended the opening of Mayor Uysal's Election Coordination Center held on Tuesday.
