MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli issued a call in a post he made on social media regarding the Palestine-Israel war.

Bahçeli stated, "If a ceasefire is not reached within 24 hours from today, if the attacks do not stop, and if bombs continue to be dropped on the oppressed, I share this openly with my nation: Turkey must intervene rapidly and do whatever is necessary as required by its historical, humanitarian, and faith-based responsibilities."

"PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MERCILESSLY SLAUGHTERED"

The post made by Bahçeli on his social media account is as follows:

"For two weeks, a chain of humanitarian disasters has been occurring in Gaza. The brutal attacks, which have reached the level of genocide, have long since exceeded the limits of patience and endurance. On October 17, 2023, the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza was bombed. Unfortunately, innocent Palestinians are covered in blood. In the last 24 hours, 352 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks. Since October 7, 4,385 of our Palestinian brothers and sisters have been taken from life. Nearly 1,756 children and nearly 1,000 women have been mercilessly slaughtered.

"NOTHING HAS COME OF IT"

The international community has watched the serial and continuous murders in Gaza as if watching a horror movie. There is neither a voice nor a reaction. The decision-making and sanctioning bodies of the United Nations have been paralyzed. Even a temporary ceasefire declaration could not be made due to the US veto. Nothing has come out of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting. Apart from simple condemnation messages, no attempt or intention to provide any real relief has been heard. The 'Peace Summit for Gaza' held in Cairo has also yielded no results so far.

Turkey has consistently proven and revealed its clear side regarding the cessation of bloodshed and the end of humanitarian dramas by strongly bringing its humanitarian, conscientious, and legal arguments to the world agenda to this day. It is known to everyone whose heart has not hardened that our President is engaged in dialogues that should be appreciated and is conducting sincere diplomatic contacts for the establishment of a fair and lasting peace environment.

"THE TURKISH NATION CANNOT AND MUST NOT REMAIN SILENT"

The manifestation of the will for a two-state solution, along with the immediate establishment of a ceasefire regime; and thus the recognition of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, with its territorial integrity ensured within the 1967 borders, is the only solution to emerge from today's darkness. Turkey's proposal for a guarantor system to untie the Gordian knot between Israel and Palestine is also an extremely rational, accurate, and strategic initiative.

As it appears, far from the clashes between Israel and Palestine ceasing, a vile plot and scheme are progressing uninterruptedly regarding their escalation and spread, and it is categorically maintaining its functionality. Of course, this bloody and devastating process should not continue this way. While the world is buried in the silence of the lambs, no one who calls themselves human, especially the Turkish nation, can, must not, and will not remain silent to the death of the little lambs of Gaza.

"WHATEVER IS NECESSARY MUST BE DONE"

As the Nationalist Movement Party, our call is this: If a ceasefire is not reached within 24 hours from today, if the attacks do not stop, and if bombs continue to be dropped on the oppressed, I share this openly with my nation: Turkey must intervene rapidly and do whatever is necessary as required by its historical, humanitarian, and faith-based responsibilities. Taking on the mission of protecting and watching over Gaza is the legacy of our ancestors.

The Republic of Turkey is ready to make Gaza a city of smiling children, an Islamic land where our brothers and sisters will live in peace and security; I swear to this, and thank God, it is capable of it. The Turkish nation and all believers stand with our President in his active and multi-dimensional diplomatic struggle."
