It is claimed that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has set 3 main criteria for determining candidates for the local elections.

Gazete Pencere columnist Nuray Babacan stated that the supreme committee formed for the local elections under Erdoğan's leadership has been working for three days; priority has been given to metropolitan cities, and all analyses conducted to date regarding all provinces, starting alphabetically from Adana, have been laid out on the table.

Accordingly, the following 3 main points are being focused on in the work carried out to determine the candidates:

1- The survey specifically commissioned by President Tayyip Erdoğan,

2- Organization polls conducted with the participation of party members,

3- Meetings held with the management and members of parliament of that province.

ERDOĞAN'S BLACK NOTEBOOK

Babacan evaluated the ongoing work as follows:

“This narrow review team includes the head of local administrations, the head of election affairs, the head of organization, and the deputy chairmen. Depending on the need, provincial and district heads are also invited to the meeting.

Erdoğan is taking notes in his black notebook. He tries to motivate his staff by saying, ‘Our goal should be to bring all provinces together with AKP service,’ and asks questions. It is stated that this work will continue for at least three more days.”
