A lament for Sırrı Süreyya Önder: Written by Selahattin Demirtaş, performed by Ferhat Tunç

Former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is being held in Edirne Prison, has written a song in memory of DEM Party MP and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who passed away on May 3 due to a heart attack. The lament, titled "Derviş" (Dervish), was composed and performed by Ferhat Tunç. The song will be released on all digital platforms on Monday, June 16, at 20:00.

Former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is being held in Edirne Prison, and artist Ferhat Tunç have created a song in memory of DEM Party MP and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who lost his life on May 3 due to a heart attack.

The piece, titled "Derviş," with lyrics written by Demirtaş, composed by Ferhat Tunç, and performed by Ferhat Tunç, was prepared as a lament. It will be released on Ferhat Tunç's YouTube channel and all digital music platforms on Monday, June 16, at 20:00.

Selahattin Demirtaş and Sırrı Süreyya Önder had previously taken the stage together to sing folk songs at Ferhat Tunç's 30th-anniversary concert in 2013.
