A sad day for the CHP: Former MP passes away

Musa Gökbel, who served as a CHP MP for Muğla between 1987 and 1991, has passed away at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Former CHP Muğla MP Musa Gökbel has passed away at the age of 76.

Gökbel, who served as an MP for Muğla between 1987 and 1991, had been receiving treatment for cancer for some time.

Gökbel's funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at the Bodrum Çarşı Adliye Mosque, after which he will be laid to rest in the Bitez Cemetery.

"OUR CONDOLENCES"

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras published a message of condolence regarding Gökbel's death.

Aras stated, "I have learned with great sadness that a valuable name in Muğla and Bodrum politics, our 18th Term CHP MP Mr. Musa Gökbel, has passed away. May God have mercy on his soul; I wish patience to his family, his loved ones, and our entire organization. Our condolences."
