Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu met with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş in the morning hours.

Following the meeting between the two, İmamoğlu appeared before the cameras and spoke as follows:

THE TRUSTEE ISSUE SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE COUNTRY'S AGENDA

''We are at a point of strong opposition regarding the issue of appointed trustees, which unfortunately disrupts the right to vote and be elected, with the parties under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). And we want the trustee issue to be removed from the country's agenda. And we do not want anyone to exercise such a will. The place for this is the Parliament. We have met with all political parties during this process. We shared the positive results we obtained at the end of the meetings with our Group Deputy Chairs.

They were continuing to meet with parties that have or do not have a group in Parliament. I was aware that it had reached the final stage. We held consultations as the Union of Municipalities of Turkey. We reached a common ground.''
