A statement regarding the health of Ahmet Türk, who is continuing his treatment in Ankara, has been released by the DEM Party. The statement clarified that there has been no negative development in his health condition.

Ahmet Türk, who was elected Co-Mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality in the March 31 elections, was removed from office and replaced by a trustee. Ahmet Türk, who participated in the third meeting held with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı on February 27 as part of the new resolution process, was not part of the DEM Party delegation that visited the island again yesterday. In a statement made by the DEM Party, it was stated: "Ahmet Türk is already undergoing routine treatment due to health issues. There is no new situation or negative development in his health condition." It was reported that Ahmet Türk is receiving treatment due to a tumor detected in his lung. 

According to information obtained, the 82-year-old Türk was diagnosed with lung cancer 3 months ago. It was learned that Türk, who is receiving chemotherapy at a private hospital in Ankara, went to the hospital again today for a PET-CT scan.
