AK Party's Haluk İpek, speaking on the DEM Party's motion for an "investigation into civil coup practices," placed his left hand in his pocket during the final part of his speech. When he continued to speak in this manner, it drew reactions. Ignoring the backlash, İpek did not remove his hand from his pocket until he finished his speech. CHP Çanakkale MP İsmet Güneşhan, who was disturbed by this attitude of the AK Party's İpek, said, "Take your hand out of your pocket, you actor! You put on a show here. None of what you said is true. Take your hand out of your pocket," while DEM Party MPs also frequently called out to the AK Party MP, saying, "Take your hand out of your pocket, you disrespectful person."

The incident was recorded in the minutes as follows:

Haluk İpek: Can Atalay was made a candidate because it was known he would receive a sentence.

Sezai Temelli (DEM): What are you? Are you a fortune teller?

Meral Danış Beştaş (DEM): At least don't laugh, don't laugh!

İpek: I don't want to go into too much detail, but I am ready to debate with anyone who is a lawyer on any platform. I challenge you all!

Beştaş: Take your hand out of your pocket!

Temelli: Take your hand out of your pocket!

Beştaş: Take your hand out of your pocket, be respectful!

İsmet Güneşhan (CHP): Take your hand out of your pocket!

Temelli: You take your hand out of your pocket, you disrespectful person!

İpek: I am saying this; you will not succeed, you will not succeed.

Beştaş: Who are you! An insolent person speaking without taking his hand out of his pocket!

Güneşhan: You won't succeed either, you ham actor! Actor! Actor, you put on a show here! None of what you said is true, none of it is true! Take your hand out of your pocket first, your hand out of your pocket.
