The non-pecuniary damages lawsuits filed by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir were consolidated by the decision of the Istanbul 20th Civil Court of First Instance.
COURT RULES FOR COMPENSATION
Within the scope of the consolidated file, the court ordered both Özgür Özel and Murat Emir to pay a total of 150,000 TL in non-pecuniary damages.
It was stated that the decision was made within the framework of the lawsuits filed due to the statements made by the parties.
COMPENSATION DONATED TO AFAD
According to information obtained from ministry sources, it was stated that Akın Gürlek donated the 150,000 TL compensation he won through the court decision to AFAD.
