AKP's candidate for Istanbul in the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress has been determined! Provincial Chair Kabaktepe announced

The AKP will hold its 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress on February 8. While there was curiosity about who would be the candidate, AKP Istanbul Provincial Chair Osman Nuri Kabaktepe had announced that he would not be running. The current AKP Provincial Chair, Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, had announced in a statement on his social media account that he would not be a candidate. In a post today, AKP's Kabaktepe announced that Bağcılar Mayor Abdullah Özdemir would be the candidate for the Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship.

Kabaktepe stated, "I am very happy and proud to share with you that our candidate for Provincial Chair at our 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress is our brother, Mr. Abdullah Özdemir."

"My dear fellow party members, our esteemed organization members,
