AKP's Ali İhsan Yavuz announces new provinces they will win: 'There will be surprises...'

AKP Deputy Chairman in Charge of Election Affairs Ali İhsan Yavuz made statements regarding the local elections on the program "Özgür İfade" (Free Expression) with Cansu Canan Özgen on tv100.

Touching on poll results, Yavuz listed the cities where they expect surprises, starting with İzmir.

“THERE WILL BE SURPRISES WE NEVER EXPECTED”

Yavuz used the following expressions in his statement:

“We do not have the luxury of saying 'let's save the day, no matter what happens,' but we are proceeding with extreme caution, taking into account where the steps we take are leading, and our nation sees that the path we are taking is the right one. Compared to before, a greater number of municipalities will attain real municipalism, and there will be surprises.

There will be new ones you never expected; for example, let me give an example: Istanbul and Ankara will return to places where AK Party municipalism exists, but there will also be new provinces such as Edirne, Antalya, Artvin, Hatay, and İzmir; for instance, I spoke with a pollster friend this evening, we are expecting İzmir.

“THOSE WHO ACT WITH CHP WILL LOSE”

I said that those who act together with the CHP will be the losers in the upcoming elections, and I predicted that the loss of altitude of the DEM Party would accelerate. The way the CHP has been conducting politics for a long time is quite problematic. We already know the DEM Party; we know that the HDP-DEM has somehow failed to distance itself from the PKK.

In other words, we see that the DEM Party does not act with us on points that require Turkey's supreme interests, but in recent years, because the CHP has also begun to completely 'DEM-ify,' we have seen that it exhibits approaches that, in a sense, butter the bread of the DEM Party and give strength or courage to terrorism in certain decisions taken in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM)."
