The AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) met at the AKP Headquarters under the chairmanship of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik is expected to make a statement following the meeting, which began at 15:49.
In addition to developments in domestic and foreign policy, the meeting is evaluating the "Terror-Free Turkey" initiative, steps to be taken in the economy, summer field activities, and preparations for the party's 25th anniversary.
''AGENDA IS 'TERROR-FREE TURKEY' AND THE ECONOMY''
One of the primary agenda items for the MYK was the framework for the legislative regulation prepared within the scope of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process. It was reported that the stage reached following the contacts conducted by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş with political party representatives was discussed by the board.
Within the new week, the coordinator group deputy chairmen of the commission are expected to meet and clarify the roadmap to be followed for opening the regulation for joint signatures.
Under the economy heading, policies planned for implementation in the second half of the year are being laid out on the table. Following the increase of the lowest pension to 23 thousand 552 liras, steps to increase the purchasing power of low-income citizens and the latest status in the fight against inflation are on the meeting's agenda.
The meeting is also discussing the 25th anniversary program that the AKP plans to hold at the Başkent Millet Bahçesi on August 14. It was stated that in addition to the program's theme, slogans, and organizational preparations, the field programs to be carried out until October 1, following the Parliament's August recess, would be addressed.
