Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will chair the commission, and the body will continue its work without interruption throughout the summer months.
THE COMMISSION'S WORK IS TAKING SHAPE
Speaking at the AKP's Extended Provincial Chairmen Meeting, President Erdoğan stated, “I have assigned 10 legal experts for this task. Hopefully, we will advance the new constitution process with the work of these colleagues.” The decision to establish the commission was made during the Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK) meeting.
WHO IS ON THE COMMISSION?
The commission, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, includes Deputy Chairmen Efkan Ala and Mustafa Elitaş, Vice Chairmen Hayati Yazıcı and Ali İhsan Yavuz, Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and Group Deputy Chairmen Özlem Zengin, Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu, and Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu.
FIRST MEETING IN JUNE
It has been reported that the commission will hold its first meeting on June 4 and will continue its work throughout the summer. It is stated that President Erdoğan will also chair some of the meetings.
