With only a short time left until the local elections, behind-the-scenes information continues to leak.

Gazete Pencere columnist Nuray Babacan claimed in her column today that there is a crisis in Bursa and Şanlıurfa.

Babacan stated the following:

"A SECOND FAKIBABA CASE"

“The city causing the most trouble for the AKP has been Şanlıurfa. The party's test with Urfa has always ended in failure. Everyone knows that in 2009, Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba protested not being nominated, ran as an independent candidate, and won the election. Now, a second Fakıbaba case is unfolding. The results of Kasım Gülpınar reacting to his party in the same way and becoming a candidate for the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) are frightening.

"THERE IS SERIOUS REACTION TO THE AKP CANDIDATE"

Research conducted has shown that Gülpınar has a possibility of winning the election. Furthermore, it is alleged that Fakıbaba and his team are also supporting him. It didn't stop there; there is serious reaction in Urfa to the candidate determined by the AKP. It is even claimed that some have gone as far as to suggest that Kasım Gülpınar suggested this weak candidate before leaving the party.

"THERE ARE GRASSROOTS OBJECTIONS IN BURSA"

A similar crisis is being experienced in Bursa. It is stated that there are serious objections from the grassroots regarding the determined metropolitan mayoral candidate. It is reported that the Bursa Provincial Chair has both a problem with the determined candidate and is disappointed, as he was expecting to be made the mayor of Osmangazi.”
