Sefa Eyicil Gül, who served as the Deputy Chair of the AKP Women's Branch in Kahramanmaraş, targeted certain party officials in a statement released on social media. Gül raised allegations of self-interest and corruption within the party, stating, “Can you not serve without seeking personal gain or interest? What is your purpose for being in our party?”

"FILLING THEIR POCKETS WITH FUEL TENDERS"

According to a report in Sözcü, Gül recalled that the current deputy provincial chair was formerly with the MHP, stating, “The misogynist who, while in the MHP, did not stop at hurling insults at our party, is now filling his pockets with fuel tenders he received from the municipality.” Gül's accusations did not stop there; she also claimed that the party cadres had formed a “gang” and were not acting fairly.

In her resignation statement, Gül said, “Until the self-serving provincial organization members and the provincial women's branch chair gang, who have forgotten to follow in the footsteps of our President, are purged, being a party member has ceased to be a source of pride for me; on the contrary, it is a source of shame. I will not play into your hands. I will not bear the burden of indirectly supporting all your injustices and your theft of rights.”

"YOU WILL LEARN TO SAY 'CHAIRPERSON'"

Gül's remarks also drew attention to discriminatory approaches toward female members within the party organization. Criticizing the sexist attitudes within the party, she said, “I am addressing all members who do not deem the title of 'Chairperson' worthy of our women within the organization. You, too, will learn to call our women 'Chairperson.' If you are going to say 'Sister,' go home.”
