The AKP, following its 4th Extraordinary Grand Congress held after the General Parliamentary Elections, has focused its efforts on the local elections to be held on March 31, 2024.
In this context, the party, which will organize a working camp with provincial and district heads, is preparing to carry out specific studies in many provinces, primarily Ankara and Istanbul.
The AKP, which has accelerated the consultation process with Provincial Advisory Council and District Advisory Council meetings and continues its field work through city meetings, will meet with provincial heads and the Organization Presidency's provincial coordinators in Kızılcahamam on November 12.
MEETINGS WILL BE HELD WITH 81 PROVINCIAL HEADS
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's instructions have set the party's election preparations in motion, and the agenda for the working camp will be the "local elections."
At the camp, where the roadmap to be followed for the local election process—which will gain momentum with candidate applications—is planned to be discussed, it is expected that the work carried out based on notes taken from surveys conducted and analyzed for the local elections will be addressed through meetings with 81 provincial heads.
At the camp, presentations are expected to be made by the Deputy Chairmen, as well as Election Affairs Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz, Local Governments Chairman Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz, and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
The working camp, where the March 31, 2024 local election process will be shaped as a result of the evaluations, will conclude on Tuesday, November 14.
