The AKP is preparing to head to a retreat this weekend in the Kızılcahamam district of Ankara for its "32nd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting." One of the most important topics of the meeting will be the new opening process referred to as a "Terror-Free Turkey."

The theme of the retreat, which will be held between July 11-13, has been set this year as "Leadership That Transcends Borders with the Power of the Nation." The opening speech of the meeting will be delivered on Saturday, July 12, by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Throughout the retreat, developments regarding the terrorist organization's process of laying down arms will be closely monitored. The steps to be taken and the statements to be made during this process will be one of the most critical agenda items of the meeting.

MINISTERS ON THE FIELD WITH AGENDA TOPICS

Full attendance by cabinet members and AKP deputies is expected at the gathering to be held in Kızılcahamam. In sessions to be conducted under the heading of "Common Sense," many topics ranging from security to development, and from the economy to social issues, will be discussed.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek are expected to provide comprehensive information to the deputies regarding current developments. At the same time, the problems and observations brought by the deputies from the field will be conveyed to the ministers.

PARLIAMENTARY AND PARTY AGENDA ALSO ON THE TABLE

On the final day of the retreat, internal party structures and parliamentary activities will be evaluated. AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala will provide a comprehensive briefing on the "Terror-Free Turkey" process. On the other hand, AKP Parliamentary Group Chairman Abdullah Güler will also deliver a presentation on legislative work.
