AKP lost the election, the municipality's vehicle was taken back: 'There is no discrimination in serving the nation'

Oğuzlar Mayor Mustafa Cebeci in Çorum announced that the AKP-run Istanbul Ümraniye Municipality has withdrawn a vehicle it had allocated 2 years ago for service purposes. Cebeci stated, "Everyone knows that if the AKP candidate had won the election, the pickup truck in question would not have been taken back."

Istanbul Ümraniye Municipality has withdrawn a double-cab pickup truck that it had sent to the Oğuzlar Municipality—which was held by the AKP in the previous term—on July 5, 2022, for service purposes.

The reason given was that the allocation period for the vehicle had expired.

TAKEN AWAY IN A HURRY

Mayor Cebeci noted that they had requested the pickup truck remain until a replacement could be found to ensure services were not disrupted, but that Ümraniye Municipality officials took the vehicle away in a hurry.

"IF AKP HAD WON, IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TAKEN BACK"

Cebeci stated the following regarding the events:

“The astonishing attitude of Ümraniye Municipality has saddened us. Everyone knows that if the AKP candidate had won the election, the pickup truck in question would not have been taken back. There is no discrimination in serving the nation. However, we see that some are still continuing to divide with a partisan approach to municipalism.

Unfortunately, this is the summary of the AKP's understanding of municipalism. I condemn this partisan mindset with hatred. This is neither morally nor politically ethical. We will focus on our work. We will increase our vehicle capacity. We will not leave our municipality and our people in need of anyone.”
