On August 24, 2025, cash and jewelry worth approximately 13.5 million TL were stolen from a steel safe in the home of Gaziosmanpaşa AKP District Chair Fatih Aydemir.

Items stolen from the safe included: 100,000 TL, 172,575 dollars, 73,640 euros, five 50-gram gold bars with a total value of 1 million 75,000 TL, two diamond rings, a diamond chain, 19 10-gram 'Ajda' bracelets, and two checks with a total value of 1.2 million TL.

CONFESSION CAME

According to a report by Dinçer Gökçe from Halk TV, Aydemir’s son, Muhammet Emin Aydemir (21), was taken into custody regarding the matter. In his statement, the younger Aydemir confessed to emptying the safe. Aydemir explained that he had incurred debts due to online gambling.

Meanwhile, a suspect named Mustafa E., whom Aydemir claimed “threatened me with death,” has been arrested. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
