According to the report in Sözcü, Ünüvar was appointed as the Rector of Ankara University in 2020. His daughter, Solmazgül, started her job at the Parliament in July of this year.

In order for Solmazgül to become the head of the department, the bureaucrat previously in this seat, Arif Erdal, was dismissed. A similar situation has now occurred. Davut Öksüz, who became the Head of Support Services in 2023 with the reference of AKP Group Deputy Chairman Abdülhamit Gül, was dismissed and replaced by Solmazgül. Ünüvar’s daughter will also be able to retire with a high additional indicator.

Ünüvar’s son, Alaattin Ünüvar, was also appointed as an advisor in 2014 by the then-Minister of Energy, Taner Yıldız. Alaattin Ünüvar, who started the job without taking an exam, currently serves as the Deputy Director of Support Services at the Ministry of Trade.
