AKP requests a meeting with the New Welfare Party! Will there be an alliance?

New Welfare Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç announced that the AKP has requested a meeting to discuss a potential alliance for the local elections.

Turkey will head to the polls for local elections on March 31, 2024. While political parties continue their preparations, alliance negotiations for the local elections are also underway.

A statement regarding the local elections has come from the New Welfare Party (YRP), which supported AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the May elections.

SUAT KILIÇ: AK PARTY DELEGATION REQUESTED A MEETING

YRP Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç held a press conference following his party's Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting.

Speaking about the issue of an alliance in the local elections, Kılıç stated, "An AK Party delegation has requested a meeting, and the meeting will take place tomorrow evening."

Visiting his party's Yozgat Provincial Headquarters the other day, Suat Kılıç had said, "We determined our stance in favor of Erdoğan in the Kılıçdaroğlu-Erdoğan dilemma. Now this election is a local election. We will not be electing a President."
