AKP-run Antakya Municipality implements CHP's 'City Restaurant' model as 'Nation Restaurant'
The AKP-run Antakya Municipality has implemented the 'City Restaurant' model, which is operated by CHP municipalities and offers a menu for 40 TL. The AKP municipality is offering the daily menu to the public at the establishment, which it has named 'Nation Restaurant', for 80 TL.

In the prefabricated bazaar established for tradespeople affected by the earthquakes in Hatay, the "Nation Restaurant" opened by the Antakya Municipality provides meal services to an average of 300 citizens per day.
The "Nation Restaurant" was opened on April 17 in the prefabricated bazaar in the Haraparası neighborhood, where tradespeople affected by the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes have reconnected with their customers, by the AKP-run Antakya Municipality.
The restaurant, which aims to support disaster-affected tradespeople and citizens, serves every weekday between 11:00 and 14:00.
TWICE THE PRICE OF IBB
In the restaurant operated by municipal teams, a 3-course meal and 1 dessert, which costs 40 liras for the same menu at IBB's City Restaurants, is sold for 80 liras.
Stating that the project received interest in a short time, Antakya Mayor İbrahim Naci Yapar said, "We want to provide service to our citizens with the taste and quality of home-cooked meals. The work we have done has received very serious support. We provide meal services to an average of 300 citizens per day."
Antakya Mayor İbrahim Naci Yapar explained that the restaurant has hosted approximately 4,000 people since the day it opened.
Stating that they aim to expand the practice, Yapar said, "We have efforts to open the second and even the third of the nation restaurants in points where there is a need in our city. If there is a need, we want to increase the number of our restaurants and provide one meal of support to our citizens."
