AKP's Ömer Çelik reacts to Özgür Özel's UAV remarks!

AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik launched a harsh attack on CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's remarks that "The F-16s waited for Erdoğan to shoot down the UAV."

In a post on his social media account, Çelik stated, "The CHP Chairmanship is acting like a 'center for producing disinformation.' CHP Chairman Özgür Özel signs off on a new error regarding our political and state life in every statement he makes about domestic and foreign policy. Moreover, he attempts to criticize our President with this misinformation. In the end, the companionship between the CHP Chairman and the 'politics of lies' is proven once again. Our nation appreciates our President's political resolve and his will to govern our state. The whole world expresses this as well. The claims of Özgür Özel, which no one outside the CHP Headquarters takes seriously, only multiply the pages of a poor political record."

WHAT DID ÖZGÜR ÖZEL SAY?

In an interview, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made certain allegations regarding the process of the UAV being shot down. CHP leader Özel claimed that the UAV was detected by a NATO base in Spain and that after entering Turkish airspace, instructions were awaited from President Erdoğan for two hours to shoot it down.

Özel had stated, "Currently, the authority to shoot down an aircraft lies with Erdoğan. No instructions came from Erdoğan for two hours. It was not shot down not because of the inadequacy of our air forces, but because of the origin of the UAV."
