AKP Spokesperson Çelik reacts to Netanyahu: We condemn his insolent remarks

AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to the remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who targeted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his speech at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

In his statement, Çelik noted that Netanyahu had turned the UN podium into a "stage for massacre propaganda," stating, "We condemn in the strongest possible terms his insolent, aggressive, and delusional remarks targeting our President and our country."

Arguing that Netanyahu bears responsibility for the attacks in Gaza and violations of international law, Çelik stated that the Israeli Prime Minister cannot cover up these crimes by targeting Erdoğan and Turkey.

Netanyahu, the head of a criminal network that has massacred tens of thousands of innocent people in Gaza—women, children, and the elderly alike—and trampled international law underfoot, cannot cover up the crimes he has committed against humanity by targeting our President and Turkey with lies.

Çelik stated that "historical and legal facts are being distorted" on many issues ranging from Cyprus to the Aegean, and from Syria to Palestine, noting that Turkey will continue to respond to the threats, slanders, and manipulations of the Netanyahu administration under the leadership of President Erdoğan.
