The People's Alliance's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidate Murat Kurum attended the "Anchovy Festival" organized by the Pendik Municipality.
During his speech there, where he criticized his rival Ekrem İmamoğlu, Kurum was met with a protest by TOKİ victims.
"MAY GOD BE PLEASED WITH YOU"
Kurum, mistaking the chants of "The victims are here, Murat Kurum come here" from TOKİ victims—who were protesting the fact that their homes have not been delivered for 4 years and that payment plans have been changed, leading to increases in housing prices and monthly installments—for support, responded by saying, "May God be pleased with you."
