AKP's local election candidacy fees announced

AKP Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz held a press conference at the party headquarters regarding the candidacy application process for the 2024 Local Administration Elections.

Stating that candidate applications will begin as of today, Yavuz said, "They will continue until November 17. Applications for municipal council membership and provincial general assembly membership will also begin today and continue until December 3."

"WE ARE NOT COLLECTING AN APPLICATION FEE THIS TIME"

Ali İhsan Yavuz shared the following information regarding the applications:

"Applications will be received in a digital environment. Individuals will be able to make their preliminary applications from wherever they wish. The candidate form must reach us with a wet signature. Candidacy applications will be made simply by printing and signing the candidate form.

We are not collecting an application fee this time. A donation will be collected. A donation of 50,000 TL will be collected for Metropolitan Mayoral candidates, 30,000 TL for provincial mayoral candidates, and 20,000 TL for district mayoral candidates. The donations will be delivered by AFAD to our brothers and sisters in Gaza who are affected by the attacks that have reached the level of genocide before the eyes of the whole world. We want to implement digital processes in future elections as well and contribute to the environment. We wanted the donations to go to Gaza.

MUNICIPAL PATH CLOSED TO MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

Thanks to the digital system, we are almost minimizing voting on behalf of others. There are almost no invalid votes. We started receiving candidate applications in a digital environment today. We will prevent the waste of 3 tons of paper. The waste of 3 tons of paper will also be prevented in the digital tendency poll on November 19. Objections and complaints will also be received digitally. We will not accept candidacy applications from our current members of parliament unless such a task is presented to them."
