It has been learned that the resignation of İYİ Party Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır, who came to the agenda with allegations that he had General Chair Meral Akşener's accounts investigated, is expected, and if he does not resign, the expulsion process will be initiated by Akşener within this week.

HE HAD REQUESTED AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ALLEGATIONS

According to the report by Eray Görgülü from T24; İYİ Party General Chair Meral Akşener used the phrase "I will erase everyone who stabs me in the back" during her speech at her party's parliamentary group meeting, which led to allegations that she was targeting İYİ Party Antalya Deputy Uğur Poyraz and Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır. Dikbayır, who was alleged to have had Akşener's accounts investigated, submitted a petition to the Disciplinary Board following these remarks by the General Chair and requested that the allegations be investigated. In his petition, Dikbayır requested an investigation into the allegations against himself, as well as the bank accounts of Meral Akşener's family members, her chief of staff, and her spouse.

DIKBAYIR IS NOT CONSIDERING RESIGNATION

Although allegations that he might resign surfaced in İYİ Party circles following these developments, it has been learned that Dikbayır is not considering resigning. On the other hand, it is also alleged that Akşener expects Dikbayır to resign. According to information obtained by T24, if Dikbayır does not resign from the party this week, Akşener will request that Dikbayır be referred to the disciplinary board and will initiate the expulsion process against him. Meanwhile, following the resignation of Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu from the İYİ Party and his subsequent move to the AKP, İYİ Party Ankara Deputy Adnan Beker, who also resigned, is expected to join the AKP as well.
