Ali Babacan reacts to TRT: 'They have ignored us since we were founded'

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan reacted to his party's lack of airtime on TRT during an iftar program he attended.

"TRT HAS IGNORED US SINCE WE WERE FOUNDED"

Ali Babacan criticized the government and opposition parties, saying the following:

"We are not one of those parties that spend state money, spend municipal money, or have large budgets. We do not have crony media, nor do we have television channels or newspapers. The country's national channel, TRT, which is financed by the public's taxes, has ignored us since the day we were founded, and it continues to do so to this day.

We are working very hard. We say that if TRT is theirs, the streets, avenues, and neighborhoods are ours. We may not have large budgets, but we have cadres working heart and soul to make their voices heard," he said.

"IT COSTS A FORTUNE NOW"

Ali Babacan also referred to the government's economic management. Babacan stated, "Today, if a family invites their neighbor for a meal or sets a table for their relatives, that family's budget is immediately shaken. An iftar table for 10 people, especially if there is red meat or chicken, costs a fortune now.

As you know, the 200-lira banknote was first put into circulation in January 2009. Let's do some shopping for our Ramadan table there. The date is January 2009. Let's put together a Ramadan package. Let's see how much it costs. We should probably put 1 liter of sunflower oil, a staple of meals, in the package, right?

"IT DOESN'T RUN OUT EASILY, DOES IT?"
