All eyes on the first Cabinet meeting after the elections: What is on the agenda?

The first Cabinet meeting following the March 31 Local Elections will take place today at the Palace.

It is expected that the main agenda item for the Presidential Cabinet, which will meet under the chairmanship of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will be the tension between Iran and Israel.

The diplomatic traffic conducted by Ankara to lower the rising tension in the Middle East will be evaluated at the meeting.

CROSS-BORDER TERROR OPERATIONS

Another topic of the meeting will be cross-border counter-terrorism operations. It is thought that the operations in northern Iraq, which are planned to be expanded during the summer period, will be evaluated at the meeting.

ERDOĞAN'S IRAQ VISIT

Erdoğan's first official visit to Iraq in 12 years, scheduled for April 22, will also be on the table. Turkey's preparations ahead of this important visit will be discussed at the meeting.

FIGHT AGAINST INFLATION WILL BE ON THE TABLE

The latest status of the economic program implemented within the framework of the Medium-Term Program and the 12th Development Plan will be another agenda item of the meeting. Additional measures that can be taken to permanently reduce inflation, which is the primary goal of the program, will be evaluated.
