A new phase has been reached in the investigation into allegations that "certain party representatives obtained benefits" during the Republican People's Party (CHP) 38th Ordinary Congress, held at the Ankara Sports Hall on November 4-5, 2023.
STATEMENTS ARE BEING TAKEN
Within the framework of investigation file number 2024/5366, conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Press Crimes Investigation Bureau, the process of taking statements from a total of 86 people, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, has begun.
According to information obtained, many official documents such as MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) reports, Social Security Institution (SSI) records, and land registry records were requested regarding these individuals, and necessary correspondence was conducted with the relevant public institutions. Furthermore, investigations into the individuals' assets have also been included in the investigation file.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into allegations that "votes were cast in exchange for money on the day of the congress" during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress.
