Alliance call from Özdağ, all eyes on Dervişoğlu!
Following Ümit Özdağ's open-door policy toward the İYİ Party for an alliance in the elections, attention has turned to party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu. Dervişoğlu stated that it is too early for alliance discussions and that such a decision cannot be made by him alone.

In a political agenda where election debates are intensifying, potential alliance scenarios between parties have begun to be discussed once again. While demands for early elections are frequently voiced in public opinion polls, street interviews, and social media posts, the potential election strategies of political parties are also on the agenda.
When evaluating the statements of the parties, it is suggested that the re-establishment of the Nation Alliance, at least with the Republican People's Party (CHP), seems difficult in the next election. Assessments are also being made that some parties other than the CHP may be in search of a different political union.
In Turkey, particularly during the Justice and Development Party (AKP) era, a scenario where nationalist parties are included in the same election alliance has not emerged to date.
However, in recent public opinion polls, voters have also begun to be asked how they would view an alliance in which nationalist parties come together.
Following these discussions, statements regarding alliances from nationalist parties have also taken their place on the agenda. In an interview with T24 recently, Ümit Özdağ stated that as the Victory Party (Zafer Partisi), they are open to an alliance with the İYİ Party.
DERVİŞOĞLU: I CANNOT MAKE THE DECISION ALONE
Following these statements by Özdağ, all eyes in political circles turned to Müsavat Dervişoğlu.
Responding to journalists' questions at an iftar program, Dervişoğlu said that it is not right to discuss such issues before the time is right.
Dervişoğlu stated, "Decisions regarding who to form an alliance with, or whether to form one at all, are not decisions I can make on my own. I am in favor of making decisions concerning my party and my country by discussing and debating them in the party's highest authorized bodies."
He also noted that he has not held any alliance talks with any party since the last elections.
Dervişoğlu stated that according to the latest public opinion polls, his party's vote share appears to be in the 8-9 percent range.
Stating that this level is insufficient in terms of the current electoral system, Dervişoğlu expressed that this vote share would not produce the desired results for either the party or the country.
"A POLITICAL EQUATION MUST BE ESTABLISHED"
Using the phrase, "Nine percent is of no benefit to us or to Turkey," Dervişoğlu said that a political equation capable of securing a majority in Parliament must be established.
