Another contender for Ankara in the AKP: 'I have been working in the organization for 22 years'

Murat Köse, Deputy Chairman of the AKP Group in the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council and Mayor of Mamak, has announced his candidacy for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

Speaking to Hürriyet, Murat Köse said the following:

“We have been continuing our duty as the AK Party Group Deputy Chairman for 3.5 years. We analyze ‘what has been done and what has not been done by the ABB?’ and share it with the public. In this process, people naturally ask, ‘Are you a candidate?’ Our party tradition does not really operate through candidacy, but rather through the evaluation of the headquarters and the assignment of tasks within the framework of that evaluation. Our Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate will be determined more or less next week. I would also like to express my intention within this framework. If God wills, I declare that I am a contender for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy. I am a contender for Ankara. Of course, politics is a matter of ambition; you must have an ambition.”

Stating that “there is no one who surpasses us in producing services and works,” Köse said, “In Mamak, we produced services, work, and projects under 174 headings. I want to offer similar versions of these beautiful works we have done in Mamak to the service of my fellow citizens throughout Ankara. Ankara is currently a city that has lost its sparkle and energy. Because problems and needs have not been solved, difficulties have accumulated and turned into a ball. I believe that on the evening of March 31, we will reunite Ankara with service works. We are preparing for the elections with our projects, God willing. I have been working in the organization for 22 years.”
